Pennies for Polio Update

Shirley Wurth will be speaking at the regular November 14th Rotary meeting on the subject of Rotary's Polio Eradication Campaign. In addition she will be visiting Rock Port Elementary School and giving presentations to the third and fourth graders as well as fifth and sixth graders.

The students will also be participating in a poster contest and a "Pennies for Polio" canister collection promotion during the month of December.

Our goals are to raise public awareness of the polio campaign, increase visibility of Rotary in the community, and meet our fundraising goals.

November is Rotary Foundation Month

The Rotary Foundation is a prime example of "Sowing the Seeds of Love" since it began with a small donation made by the Rotary Club in Kansas City, Missouri in 1918. Foundation priorities include Polio Plus, many scholarships, and our newest endeavor, the Rotary Centers for International Studies which promote peace and conflict resolution.
